    POSITION OVERVIEW

    The Warehouse Supervisor reports to the Warehouse Manager. Warehouse Supervisors are a vital part of the team by assisting in overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, directing and coordinating activities of warehouse employees, and ensuring the proper product is being delivered to customers.

    The Warehouse Supervisor is also responsible for the safety of employees and visitors during the shift. They will identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices. They also ensure compliance with all state, federal, and industry related administrative policies and procedures, safety rules as well as Brady policies/procedures.

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assists Warehouse Manager
    • Works safely and follows safety rules.
    • Orders, plans, schedules and monitors facility material and equipment requirements.
    • Maintains necessary documentation, correct procedures, and follows specified guidelines.
    • Manages the warehouse inventory in accordance with company policy and written work instructions.
    • Conducts all shipping and receiving activities.
    • Arranges transportation, i.e. (truck load and less than truck load LTL) carriers in accordance with SwanLeap.
    • Routing and scheduling of company drivers for Sigma assets.
    • Maintains compliance with all Company programs, policies, procedures, and work instructions.
    • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable federal, state, and local laws.
    • Responsible for training and development of all Sigma operations personnel assigned to location.
    • Coordinates all job assignments and ensures duties comply with company Safety and 5-S activities.
    • Maintains confidentiality of company proprietary information and ensures that their direct reports comply as well.
    • Assists Warehouse Manager/Assistant Warehouse Manager with directing warehouse staff to ensure efficient time management, along with daily activities.
    • Accurately check orders prior to shipment.
    • Maintain proper flow of day-to-day operations in absence of Warehouse Manager.
    • Additional duties as assigned.

    EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Experience in warehousing planning, scheduling, inventory control, and traffic management preferred.
    • Experience as supervisor or manager, preferred
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • College degree preferred
    • Prior forklift certification preferred, or ability to obtain upon hire
    • Ability to operate, and train others to operate, warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, pickers, or scrubbers
    • Previous experience in a modern warehouse environment with knowledge of operations techniques and inventory and logistics management
    • Strong computer skills to operate warehouse management systems, tools such as scanners, and data entry tasks
    • Strong math skills to manage inventory counts and measurements (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
    • Strong communications skills, problem-solving abilities and leadership qualities
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and work overtime as needed
    • Ability to lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs and walk, climb, kneel, stoop, and balance throughout shift
