Penmac Staffing is now hiring a Warehouse Operator team member for a feed manufacturing and distribution facility. These are full-time, 1st shift opportunities for dependable individuals who enjoy an active work environment and take pride in accuracy, safety, and customer service.
Pay: $20.50/hour
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. OR Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, product codes, storage practices, forklifts, and pallet jacks
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds regularly
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, twist, push, and pull throughout the shift
- Ability to work in hot, cold, dusty, noisy, and wet environments
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment
- Ability to work around manufacturing-related allergens
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and excellent attendance
- Willingness to submit to pre-employment screening requirements
Responsibilities
- Load bagged feed and other products from warehouse storage into customer vehicles, trailers, and company trailers
- Verify accurate product counts during all loading activities
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently
- Follow all safety, health, environmental, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practice standards
- Maintain a clean work area and complete housekeeping assignments according to sanitation schedules
- Perform monthly inventory counts, recounts, and related warehouse organization activities
- Complete work orders and assigned tasks accurately and on time
- Communicate production and operational issues with team members and supervisors
- Assist with training and mentoring new employees after becoming qualified
- Attend company-required training programs
- Perform other duties as assigned by plant leadership
