JOB PURPOSE
The position of Warehouse Specialist is of great significance to BW Fusion. A person in this position is accountable for inventory control and product rotation, along with managing areas and keeping them orderly. Also, may be responsible to transport materials to and from specified destinations in a safe and effective manner. Employees in this position are required to perform all required tasks with the utmost concentration and dedication.
Key Responsibilities
These are the basic duties and responsibilities of the position and must be performed competently. Basic duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Blending & Processing: Operate blending machinery to mix raw agricultural materials according to formula specifications.
- Quality Control: Follow strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to sample, test, and document product quality lines.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean, sanitize, and perform routine maintenance on blending, packaging, and facility equipment.
- Packaging & Labeling: Package finished products into totes, or jugs and apply accurate compliance labels.
- Order Fulfillment: Palletize, stage, and wrap customer orders for shipment.
- Inventory Control: Conduct cycle counts and log inventory movements using warehouse management software.
- Shipping & Receiving: Unload bulk raw ingredients and load finished goods onto trucks using a forklift.
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain clean blending areas and follow strict OSHA and agricultural chemical safety standards, while also completing internal safety training on a monthly basis.
Qualifications and Physical Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School education or GED; or one to two years of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Available to work extended hours and some weekends when needed.
- Must be self-motivated, adaptable, accountable, and efficient.
- Strong attention to detail.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Must be comfortable wearing a respirator occasionally.
- Must be comfortable wearing hazmat/Tyvek suit occasionally.
- Ability to work outside, stand, walk, kneel, and stoop for extended periods.
- Must be able to frequently lift up to 10 lbs and occasionally lift up to 55 lbs. In a normal workday, an employee may sit 30% of the time, stand 50% of the time, and walk 20% of the time. Employees must be able to frequently reach above shoulder level, occasionally squat, kneel, push/pull, climb/balance, and lift from high/low position.
