    Job Overview: At Gardner Denver - Industrial Technology and Services, LLC, a division of Ingersoll Rand, your leadership will directly impact product performance, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence at our Sedalia facility.

    The Warehouse & Shipping Supervisor will lead first-shift warehouse, shipping, and aftermarket operations. This hands-on position extends well beyond traditional dock supervision and requires proven strength across warehouse operations, inventory flow, and daily shipping execution. The supervisor will also lead an aftermarket team responsible for packing and shipping lubricants, filters, and other customer-requested products. Because the position spans multiple operational areas, it requires a versatile professional who can manage changing priorities, work effectively through ambiguity, and maintain a clear understanding of the broader warehouse operation.

    The ideal candidate will bring proven supervisory experience, strong operational judgment, and the ability to keep people, products, and processes moving efficiently. This professional will take ownership of the operation, strengthen accountability, drive continuous improvement, and turn frontline ideas into meaningful results.     Responsibilities:

    • Operations: Plans, organizes and delegates work assignments in order to best utilize man-hours, skills, and equipment.
    • Production: Anticipate production problems and devise and implement procedures to offset lost production and schedule interruptions.
    • Management: Involved in the recruitment, training, goal-setting and performance management of production staff.
    • Training: Coordinates and participates in a variety of training programs for employees.
    • Plant Safety: Inspects machines and equipment. Polices the use of safety equipment, departmental housekeeping and maintains a continual alert for hazardous conditions.
    • Employee Safety: Proactively supervise safety, including accident investigation and follow-up, departmental inspections, employee training, and safety rule enforcement.

    Requirements:

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • 2+ years of experience in warehouse operations to include inventory control and shipping flow
    • 1+ years of experience in team supervisory or as a team lead

    Core Competencies

    • Warehouse and Inventory Acumen: Understands warehouse operations , inventory control , shipping flow, and the importance of accuracy in a revenue-generating environment.
    • Hands-On Floor Presence: Spends time on the floor learning processes, understanding workflows, and building credibility with the team.
    • Continuous Improvement : Proactively identifies opportunities, solves problems, and implements practical improvements.
    • Operational Leadership: Leads daily shipping and aftermarket operations while keeping the team focused, accountable, and aligned with business needs.
    • Accountability Mindset: Sets clear expectations, follows through, coaches employees, and addresses performance effectively.
    • Adaptability: Operates comfortably in gray areas and manages changing customer orders, aftermarket products, and operational priorities.

    Preferences:

    • Bachelor's Degree
    • SAP experience
    • Experience in a variable warehouse environment beyond single-product or repetitive shipping operations.
    • Demonstrated career progression within one organization through promotions or expanded responsibility.
    • Experience leading process improvements or operational change initiatives.
    • Manufacturing or industrial operations experience and significant warehouse exposure.

    Travel and Work Arrangements

    • Based in Sedalia, MO (onsite)
    • This is first shift and starts between 6:00- 7:00am
