Warehouse Shipping Associate - Youngstown, OH - JOB 26-00545
Pay Range: $16.00 – $20.00/HR
Full-Time Permanent Position with Benefits
Seeking an Entry to Junior-Level Warehouse Shipping Associate for a leading manufacturing firm in the Youngstown, Ohio area. In this role, you will handle daily shipping and receiving operations, prepare outbound industrial gas packages and components, maintain accurate ERP system records, and operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes.
Responsibilities- Package, stage, and process outbound shipments, including large industrial gas packages and items sent for post-processing.
- Perform quality checks on finished goods to ensure labeling, packaging, and visual standards are met before shipment.
- Operate material handling equipment safely, including forklifts, overhead cranes, powered pallet jacks, and manual dollies.
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and physical damage.
- Verify packing slips against received materials and enter receiving data directly into the ERP system.
- Read pick tickets to accurately locate, retrieve, and allocate parts across facility departments or staging areas.
- Stock incoming materials into designated bin locations, shelves, and racks based on part numbers and product codes.
- Generate bills of lading (BOL), shipping labels, and freight documents using carrier portals for parcel and LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) orders.
- Conduct assigned inventory cycle counts to ensure accurate warehouse stock levels.
Requirements- High School Diploma or equivalent; 2 to 5 years of related warehouse, shipping, or inventory experience (or equivalent combination of education and training).
- Experience using ERP systems for receiving and order fulfillment; working knowledge of carrier portals (parcel and LTL transportation modes).
- Hands-on experience with forklifts, overhead cranes, and pallet jacks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong practical math skills (fractions, percentages, ratios), problem-solving ability, and clear written/verbal communication skills.
