Debbie’s Staffing is recruiting for a Warehouse Receiving Associate for our client located in Concord, NC!
 
Schedule: 8:30am-5pm Monday-Friday. Please note schedule can be flexible until 6pm.
 
Pay: $19.00-$21.00/hr Based on Experience.  Weekly Pay!  Temp to Hire!
 
Position Summary 
The Warehouse Receiving Associate is responsible for the accurate, timely, and compliant receipt of pharmaceutical and healthcare products.  This position performs physical receiving, product verification, system transactions, product traceability, exception identification, and inventory put-away in accordance with established procedures. The position requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail because receiving activities establish critical inventory records including product identity, quantity, lot/batch information, expiration dates, serialization data, storage requirements, and inventory location. The Receiving Associate works with prescription pharmaceuticals, over-the-counter medicines, and other healthcare products and uses the company’s warehouse management system and barcode scanners to complete receiving activities. 
 
After demonstrating proficiency in receiving, the associate will be cross-trained in picking and packing procedures and will be expected to perform those functions as needed to support warehouse operations, staffing needs, and order fulfillment.
 
Essential Functions:
 
  • Receive, unpack, inspect, and process incoming pharmaceutical and healthcare product shipments in accordance with established receiving procedures. 
  • Verify product identity, quantities, unit of measure, lot/batch numbers, expiration dates, and other required information against purchase orders, supplier documentation, and physical product. 
  • Perform required two-person receiving verification and document counts, exceptions, discrepancies, and required sign-offs before inventory is accepted. 
  • Identify and document receiving exceptions and discrepancies and escalate issues to the Warehouse Manager or Compliance Officer as required. 
  • Verify product storage requirements and ensure received products are handled and assigned to the appropriate storage conditions; immediately escalate any discrepancies. 
  • Process serialized, batch-controlled, and non-prescription products using applicable systems, accurately capturing and verifying required product and inventory information to maintain traceability. 
  • Complete goods receipt transactions and accurately label, stage, and put away received inventory in the appropriate warehouse locations. 
  • After demonstrating proficiency in receiving, complete cross-training in order picking and packing and perform these responsibilities as needed, including accurately picking, scanning, verifying, packing, and preparing customer orders for shipment in accordance with established procedures. 
  • Maintain complete and accurate warehouse records and follow applicable quality, security, safety, and warehouse procedures. 
  • Assist with inventory verification, cycle counts, inventory movements, warehouse organization, and other warehouse operational activities as assigned.
     
Successful Candidate Qualifications:
 
  • Ability to accurately count and reconcile physical inventory while consistently identifying discrepancies. 
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow detailed written procedures and standardized workflows. 
  • Ability to accurately interpret product labels, packing lists, purchase orders, quantities, and storage instructions. 
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn and use warehouse management systems, ERP software, handheld barcode scanners, and related equipment. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, including documenting discrepancies and escalating issues clearly and promptly. 
  • Dependable attendance and ability to work accurately and productively in a deadline-driven, team-based warehouse environment.
  • Previous experience in warehouse receiving, inventory, distribution, fulfillment, or a similar environment. 
  • Experience using warehouse software, barcode scanners, or inventory-tracking systems. 
  • Experience handling pharmaceutical, healthcare, food, or other products requiring lot, expiration-date, or storage-condition controls. 
  • Must be reliable and dependable.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with assistance or material handling equipment.
