Mechanical Assembler – Job Description 


CAS Mechanical Assemblers works as part of a production team to build or assemble air compressors. This role requires the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, and proficiency with a variety of hand and power tools. Candidates must be able to stand for extended periods and perform a wide range of tasks in a manufacturing environment. 


Key Responsibilities 


·         Assembling air compressors, equipment, and subassemblies using hand tools and power tools as required. 


·         Read and interpret build diagrams and schematic drawings to determine assembly and installation procedures. 


·         Prepare for a build by reviewing parts lists and ensuring the required parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials are present. 


·         Install air compressor components according to step-by-step build diagrams and schematic drawings. 


·         Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position parts and subassemblies during production of an air compressor. 


·         Position and align parts using templates, measurement tools, or layout specifications. 


·         Inspect your builds for mechanical issues, irregularities, and malfunctions. 


·         Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective components. 


·         Maintain a safe work environment by following all applicable safety requirements and reporting unsafe conditions immediately.


·         Perform additional duties as assigned. 
 4-day 10-hour shift, 
3-Day weekend, 
Overtime, paid time off. 
$16 - $22 Rate based on experience



Qualifications 


  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics.
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic mechanical equipment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks associated with assembly work.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
