Warehouse Porter - Full-Time

The Staff Pad has partnered with a premier moving and storage company in Pacoima, CA and we are looking to hire a dependable and hardworking Warehouse Porter to help maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.

What You’ll Do

• Keep warehouse floors, racks, workspaces, and common areas clean and organized
  
• Break down crates & boxes and compact cardboard for recycling using trash compactors or designated tools
  
• Remove trash, recycling, and surplus materials throughout the facility
  
• Maintain safe exterior areas by sweeping and removing debris, trash, and hazardous obstacles from parking lots, walkways, and outdoor spaces
  
• Identify, report, and help address maintenance or safety concerns
  
• Coordinate supply requests to support efficient daily operations
  
• Assist with organizing and maintaining warehouse materials
  
• Safely handle cleaning & sanitizing solutions, flammable materials (e.g. paint, acetone, fuel etc.), compactors and basic maintenance tools
  
• Support warehouse operations and assist leadership (Warehouse Manager, Operations Manager and General Manager) with assigned tasks
  
• Assist with basic maintenance and general warehouse support as needed
  
• Help maintain OSHA-compliant safe and clean work environment
  

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED preferred
  
• 2+ years of porter, janitorial, or custodial experience
  
• Warehouse or logistics experience is a plus
  
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards, cleaning procedures, equipment, and safe workplace practices, with a strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
  
• Strong work ethic, problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  
• Ability to follow directions, work independently and as part of a team
  
• Good communication and organizational skills
  
• Professional, dependable, and able to handle responsibilities with discretion
  
• Team-Player, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  

Physical & Work Environment

• Work is split between indoor warehouse areas and outdoor conditions (50:50)
  
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and move carts or dollies up to 150 lbs.
  
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and cleaning activities
  
• PPE may be required for certain tasks
  
• Operating cleaning equipment, trash compactors, and basic manual tools required
