Warehouse OperatorRequired Education High school diploma or equivalent preferredRequired Experience One or more years of warehouse experience or related experience and or training Experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment Experience with material handling and management logistics or manufacturing productionTech Skills Forklift operation Material handling equipment operation including forklifts conveyors cranes handcarts and power trucks Basic computer skills Ability to read write interpret and comprehend documents written in English Ability to perform basic math calculations Ability to work in a metrics driven environment Knowledge of standard operating procedures and scientific methods Ability to follow quality guidelinesSoft Skills Effective communication skills with coworkers and Team Lead or Supervisor Ability to work under general to limited supervision Ability to complete routine tasks using prescribed steps Ability to develop skills within a designated process method or operational area Ability to obtain and maintain required licenses training and certificationsResponsibilities Operate forklifts conveyors cranes handcarts and power trucks to move materials parts assemblies and finished products or goods within a plant or warehouse Maintain records as needed Develop skills in basic tasks techniques and procedures within one skill area process or method Apply basic knowledge and skills to complete routine warehouse tasks consisting of prescribed steps Follow clearly defined standard operating procedures and scientific methods Adhere to established quality guidelines Work under general to limited supervision Support material handling logistics manufacturing production and warehouse operationsPhysical Demands Lift and or move materials weighing over 50 pounds Regularly perform walking standing stooping kneeling balancing climbing lifting crouching reaching pulling pushing grasping talking hearing and twisting Frequently use hands to finger handle feel pick or type including repetitive motion of the wrists hands or fingers Work near moving mechanical parts Occasionally work in high precarious places Occasionally work around fumes and airborne particles Work in hot conditions during summer months with no air conditioning Work in cold conditions during winter months with limited heating Work in a moderate to loud noise environment
