Rubber & Accessories is seeking an industrious individual to join our management team. We are a fast-paced Industrial Distribution company specializing in Conveyor Belt, Industrial Hose and Gasket products. This person must be willing to work among and lead the warehouse personnel while having the acumen to participate in and lead meetings with management. This manager will provide leadership and development to workforce to ensure the quality and on time delivery of our quality hose and belt products, in a safe working environment. We are a teamwork environment that is customer service driven.
The manager is responsible for the productivity and quality of warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities include:
Coordinate effective communication and support with inside and outside sales staff to efficiently maximize the warehouse team and equipment resources to exceed customer satisfaction.
Ensure the warehouse is staffed appropriately, operations are safely and properly run, orders ship as scheduled and warehouse is open and closed daily at appropriate times.
Ensure safety, rules and production guidelines are followed by the team.
Continue to develop the culture of ethics, service and reliability, all while maintaining the customer service focus established for 54 years.
Organize daily route deliveries for local deliveries of products.
Work with management to coordinate staffing needs, manage equipment needs and identify growth opportunities.
Set warehouse staff priorities to ensure that resources and supplies are available to accomplish company objectives.
Work with the hose and belt department supervisors to ensure the needs of each department are met.
Manage schedules for maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
Provide training and assistance to warehouse employees.
Responsibilities may include hands on activities such as pulling and packing orders, fabricating belt and hose assemblies, forklift driving, and related warehouse work.
Assist walk in customers when needed.
Requirements Experience:
Management experience in an industrial environment
Strong supervisory and leadership skills
Excellent organization skills
Ability to read a tape measure and work with hand tools.
Must have a valid driving license (in good standing)
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. - intermittently.
