We are looking for a Material Handler to join our team!
The shift will be Sun - Wed from 5:30 am to 4:00 pm.
The Material Handler is responsible for performing routine warehouse and material handling tasks while following established procedures and detailed instructions. This role supports warehouse operations by receiving, storing, moving, and preparing materials using specialized equipment for production and customer orders while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Receive, unload, inspect, and store incoming materials in designated inventory locations.
Pick, assemble, tag, and prepare customer and production orders based on work orders and shipping documentation.
Load and unload trucks, trailers, containers, and customer vehicles.
Move materials between receiving, storage, production, and shipping areas using forklifts, side loaders, overhead cranes, or other material handling equipment.
Operate forklifts, side loaders, order pickers, and overhead cranes safely and efficiently.
Retrieve material and transfer stock to band saws manually or using material handling equipment.
Operate band saws by setting cutting parameters according to work order specifications.
Install and remove band saw blades and monitor cutting operations for quality and accuracy.
Position materials properly using back stops and other equipment as needed.
Measure finished products using rulers, tape measures, and calipers to verify compliance with specifications.
Mark and identify materials with appropriate labels and product information.
Enter production, inventory, and work order information into the computerized inventory system.
Perform inventory spot checks and verify proper material identification and tagging.
Report inventory discrepancies, equipment issues, or other irregularities to supervisors.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Follow all work instructions, quality procedures, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and company safety policies.
Adhere to all quality standards and inspection requirements related to work orders.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Function in the Job
Medium/Heavy work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Required Skills
Previous warehouse or material handling experience preferred.
Experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, side loaders, or order pickers is preferred.
Ability to safely operate band saw equipment or willingness to be trained.
Basic computer skills for inventory and work order data entry.
Ability to read work orders and follow written instructions.
Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures, rulers, and calipers.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High school diploma or equivalent minimum
Ability to quickly learn multiple functions in a complex industry.
Good mathematical skills including measurements; ability to use and read measuring equipment such as calipers and measuring tapes.
Experienced working to targets and deadlines.
Adaptable and have a positive attitude towards change.
Motivated, communicative and goal oriented.
