Warehouse Manager - San Antonio

POSITION:               Warehouse Supervisor

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: 

• Inform Procurement Tech and/or manager of any issues that arise related to fulfilling orders;
• Communicate with Pre-Production Manager and other mangers;
• Responsible for meeting department productivity and quality goals;
• Process and maintain return to vendor requests;
• Keep record of shortages or other errors for weekly review;
• Direct warehouse activities on a daily basis under the direction of the Pre-Production Manager;
• Check trash compactor daily;
• Ensure installers are sent to dump if debris cannot be put in compactor;
• Ensure all orders are checked in and stored properly and proper personnel are notified;
• Pre-staging orders before they are scheduled to go out;
• Assist with discrepancies on deliveries;
• Maintain a small workshop and tool cage when built;
• Ensure warehouse security and safety;
• Ensure only authorized personnel operate company equipment;
• Performs other work related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Preferred previous warehouse experience;
• Some weekends may be required;
• Familiarity with MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat;
• Strong time management and organizational skills;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal);
• Energetic and enthusiastic personality, with a patient and calming manner;
• Team player with the ability to take on more and grow with the role and company!

EDUCATION:

• Required high school diploma;
• Preferred some college courses;
• Prior experience or education in remodeling and/or construction.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing duties of job, employee is often required to move around, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.  Employee must often lift and/or move up to 50 + pounds or more.  Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. 

Work Environment:  The work is performed in warehouse setting.  While in the office, the noise level is moderate.  While in the warehouse, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time, including extreme heat and cold conditions. The noise level is normally moderate. 

Dress code:  Button down or polo shirt, jeans or pants. Faded jeans, T-shirts, dirty or sloppy clothing, flip flops or open toed shoes are not acceptable.  Strongly recommend work boots.

Schedule: Monday through Friday.  Appointments and installations may be scheduled on Saturday.  If so Pre-Production is expected to be available.
