Warehouse Manager
Location: Raleigh, NC
A commercial flooring contractor is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to run its Raleigh warehouse and lead a team of four. This direct hire role keeps installation crews supplied and on schedule by making sure the right materials are received, organized, and ready to go each morning. It is a strong fit for a hands-on leader who takes pride in an orderly, safe warehouse and enjoys working closely with project teams.
Warehouse Manager Responsibilities:
-Supervise and schedule a team of four warehouse employees
-Receive and check in incoming shipments against purchase orders, and keep inventory records accurate through regular counts
-Pull and prepare job-specific material packages, including flooring, adhesives, and trim, ahead of each installation
-Partner with project managers to make sure crews have what they need before they head out each morning
-Plan storage layouts that safely accommodate large, heavy, and oversized materials while keeping aisles clear
-Uphold OSHA and company safety standards, and keep forklifts and other warehouse equipment maintained and serviced
-Process returns, leftover material, and scrap from job sites, restocking usable product to reduce waste
-Communicate with sales, project management, and freight carriers to keep deliveries and pickups on track
Warehouse Manager Requirements:
-3 to 5+ years of warehouse management or supervisory experience required
-Experience in flooring or construction materials preferred
-Current forklift certification, with experience using attachments for rolled and bulky materials
-Comfortable with computers, Microsoft Excel, and inventory software, with Procore experience preferred
-Experience working with supply chain and materials purchasing departments
