    SUMMARY OF POSITION:

    The Warehouse Manager (WM) is responsible for overseeing the overall operations, procedures, and production of the warehouse facility. This role involves directing and coordinating the facility staff, with primary interaction with the site leads or supervisors to ensure all phases of the facility operations are monitored and evaluated on an ongoing basis to ensure compliance with established levels of performance in all areas, to include safety, quality and compliance; warehouse team development; coordinating inbound and outbound shipments; processes regarding efficient, accurate, and safe handling of inventory.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    Day-to-day responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Collaborate with warehouse division and the Regional Warehouse Manager to establish and implement strategic and tactical initiatives and goals, as well as drive top and bottom-line results.
    • Provide ongoing support and resources to the Leads and Supervisors for programs and process needs in the areas of gaps recognition; discussion & shared development of solutions; evaluation of effectiveness of solutions; revision/re-implementation of solutions as necessary; and an ongoing program to optimize performance through continuous improvement and development in areas regarding the specific facility personnel and operations.
    • Lead, train, and assist the team of management & warehouse associates in daily operations to include forecasting; receiving; storing; picking; packing; and shipping of inbound/outbound goods and products.
    • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all warehouse activities, including receipt of inbound shipments; documentation of outbound shipments; proper physical inventory markers and locations; and inventory control transactions.
    • Gain knowledge of and ensure utilization within Manhattan SCALE WMS of all warehouse and inventory movements and inventory levels.
    • Ensure that the warehouse operates in accordance with all safety regulations (e.g., OSHA) and company policies. Enforce warehouse safety policies and reinforce procedures with staff to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
    • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure that equipment and workstations are compliant with OSHA, state, and company safety standards and requirements.
    • Develop/implement with continuous improvement initiatives and best practices for workflow optimization and efficiency.
    • Establish and track key performance metrics (KPIs) related to warehouse efficiency, costs, and customer service levels, and define/execute corrective actions to accomplish goals as needed.
    • Design programs to promptly identify and address operational issues including shipment delays; inventory discrepancies; staff conflicts, etc., and implement appropriate corrective actions.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Regional Warehouse Manager.

    Personnel Development, including but not limited to:

    • Encourage effective and efficient personnel performance through team building, leadership, motivation, training, coaching and professional development and growth.
    • Provide safety training to ensure team members are aware of safety protocols/correct use of equipment. Promote a culture of safety by ongoing initial training and follow up review with staff on the correct use of equipment and handling of materials.
    • Establish departmental procedures, work instructions and/or measurement systems consistent with Company policies, processes and directives (as needed).
    • Practice and display open communication with all related personnel of the Company.
    • Create and support a culture of engaged, productive and loyal team members, while reinforcing TA Dedicated's core values of Safety, Connection, Integrity and Innovation.

    Note: These are the major functions and accountabilities required of the position and are the predominant criteria by which performance will be assessed. OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:

    • Minimum of 5 years' experience in warehouse operations required, with progressive roles of increasing responsibility preferred.
    • Minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in a supervisory or leadership role required.
    • High School diploma or equivalent required, with certification or degree in business, supply chain, transportation, logistics or a related field preferred.
    • Strong leadership, organizational, coaching, mentorship and people development skills are required.
    • Must be able to articulate thoughts, ideas and concerns and communicate effectively
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
    • Knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety regulations, and related best practices preferred.
    • Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS) and inventory management preferred.
    • Over-the-road / local / drayage carrier experience with dry van / open deck equipment is a plus.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
