    Description

    Halco Lighting Technologies, one of the fastest growing lighting suppliers, is seeking a Warehouse manager for its Norcross facility. This position is responsible for the daily operations which include receipt and putaway of finished goods, truck loading/unloading processes, and inventory control. The Warehouse Manager will work closely with other regional warehouses to manage inventories and meet customer fulfillment requirements

    Duties

    • Directs the day-to-day shipping, receiving and production activities of the warehouse
    • Accountable for directed putaway and inventory accuracy through planned processes and controls to eliminate out of stocks, receiving errors, selection errors, and warehouse mis-slotting of products.
    • Responsible for warehouse employee training, communication and fostering an environment of teamwork and individual accountability
    • Lead, direct, train and coach employees to achieve work objectives and improve productivity and accuracy while on the floor
    • Inspect warehouse facility to assure adherence to safety, security and operating policies and ensure that 6S is deployed and sustained delivering expected results
    • Accountable for providing ASN (advance shipping notices) to customer direct ship, cross dock and distribution center locations in order to provide advance notice of each truckload delivery
    • Manage an assembly team to endure production goals are met
    • Manage warehouse budget and achieving goals in all key performance indicators including safety, cost, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
    • Support and oversee efforts to maintain the security and integrity of the facility and inventory.
    • Conduct operations in a manner, which promotes safety and are in accordance with OSHA. Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all material handling equipment. Maintain compliance with all safety rules.
    • Apply sound communication and motivational techniques in supervising, counseling, and disciplining subordinates.

    Minimum requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
    • At least eight years hands on warehousing and project management experience
    • Certified to operate powered materials handling equipment.
    • Ability to lift 50lbs.
    • Ability to work standing for extended time periods.
    • Advanced written and communication skills
    • Advanced ERP utilization skills and MS Excel a must
    • Experience with Lean concepts and deployment preferred
