    WAREHOUSE MANAGER

    Location: Marysville, Ohio

    Reports To: Director of Warehouse Operations

    Position Type: Full-time, Salaried Exempt

    Travel: Approximately 10%

    POSITION SUMMARY

    We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead daily warehouse operations, develop a strong team, and drive improvements in safety, accuracy, productivity, and customer service. This individual will oversee staffing, inventory movement, operational processes, and warehouse systems while ensuring customer requirements and service-level agreements are consistently met.

    The ideal candidate is a hands-on, results-driven leader who builds accountability, develops employees, and uses data to improve performance. This role partners closely with Customer Success, Quality, transportation providers, and other operational leaders to support efficient warehouse execution and profitability.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Warehouse Operations

    • Manage daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, inventory movement, and distribution.
    • Oversee resource allocation, scheduling, facility security, and opening and closing procedures.
    • Ensure accurate, timely transactions in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
    • Optimize warehouse space, labor, equipment, and other resources to improve productivity and control costs.
    • Implement procedures that protect inventory, prevent damage, and support safe product handling.
    • Coordinate with internal departments and transportation partners to meet customer requirements and delivery commitments.
    • Collaborate with leaders across facilities to adjust staffing and share resources during volume fluctuations.
    • Lead the implementation and evaluation of new operational initiatives, technologies, and systems.

    Team Leadership & Development

    • Lead, coach, and develop warehouse supervisors and associates.
    • Set clear expectations for safety, productivity, quality, attendance, and customer service.
    • Support onboarding and ongoing training to ensure employees understand operating procedures and performance expectations.
    • Provide regular feedback, recognize strong performance, and address development or performance concerns.
    • Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
    • Delegate responsibilities effectively and develop future leaders within the operation.

    Continuous Improvement & Performance Management

    • Establish and monitor key performance indicators related to productivity, accuracy, service levels, costs, and safety.
    • Use operational data and audit findings to identify opportunities and implement corrective actions.
    • Apply Lean and 5S principles to reduce waste, improve workflow, and maintain an organized workplace.
    • Develop and standardize warehouse best practices in partnership with cross-functional teams.
    • Evaluate daily, weekly, and monthly results to drive measurable improvements in efficiency and profitability.

    Customer Service & Quality

    • Develop a thorough understanding of customer needs, contractual commitments, and service-level expectations.
    • Partner with Customer Success and Quality to resolve issues and maintain consistent service.
    • Ensure warehouse processes support accurate, reliable, and timely customer fulfillment.
    • Identify opportunities to strengthen customer relationships and support business growth.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • At least 7 years of warehouse experience, with demonstrated success leading and developing teams.
    • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory movement, resource planning, and process improvement.
    • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
    • Ability to manage projects, prioritize competing demands, and meet deadlines.
    • Experience using performance metrics to identify issues and improve results.
    • Strong communication, coaching, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
    • Detail-oriented and customer-focused, with sound business judgment.
    • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment and take ownership of operational results.

    EDUCATION & PREFERRED CREDENTIALS

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, or a related field preferred.
    • Supply chain certification preferred.
    • Familiarity with Lean and 5S practices.

    SCHEDULE & TRAVEL

    This is a full-time position with hours aligned to the operational schedule. Flexibility is required to meet business and customer needs. Approximately 10% travel may be required, including occasional customer meetings or events.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • The role includes an office environment with frequent telephone activity. Physical requirements include extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking, as well as occasional bending and lifting of loads that may reach or exceed 50 pounds, with reasonable accommodation as applicable.
