    WAREHOUSE MANAGER

    TMJ Construction Services is hiring a Warehouse Manager

    TMJ Construction Services is growing and we are looking for an organized, detail-oriented Warehouse Manager to support our operations.

    This role is primarily based out of our Ames location, with support at our Grimes facility as needed. The Warehouse Manager plays a key role in keeping materials, equipment, and inventory organized and moving efficiently to support our crews and job sites.

    Responsibilities include:

    Inventory Management

    • Oversee receiving and inspection of all incoming materials, equipment, and supplies at both locations
    • Coordinate and release inventory to job sites and crews, ensuring accurate tracking
    • Maintain clear documentation of all inventory movement
    • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits
    • Reconcile discrepancies and investigate variances
    • Prepare and submit inventory reports to the Controller
    • Work closely with Production to plan material needs for upcoming projects
    • Monitor inventory levels and determine reorder points
    • Assist with purchasing recommendations based on project needs and inventory analysis

    Warehouse Operations

    • Maintain an organized warehouse layout for efficient storage and access
    • Ensure proper handling and storage of materials and equipment
    • Follow and enforce safety procedures in line with OSHA standards
    • Coordinate logistics between Ames and Grimes locations
    • Oversee maintenance of warehouse equipment
    • Improve workflow and maximize space utilization

    Documentation and Reporting

    • Maintain accurate records using inventory management systems
    • Generate reports on inventory levels, usage, and trends
    • Document damaged or obsolete materials
    • Track and report key performance metrics to the Controller

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
    • 3+ years of warehouse or inventory management experience (construction industry preferred)
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Experience with inventory systems and Microsoft Office
    • Valid driver's license and ability to travel between Ames and Grimes as needed
    • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a warehouse environment
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills
