The Opportunity
As the Warehouse Manager for our Dallas distribution center, you will own the day-to-day operation of the facility. You will lead a small warehouse team, oversee inventory accuracy, and ensure orders are shipped safely, on time, and correctly, while delivering outstanding service to our customers.
This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who enjoys being on the floor, building and improving processes, mentoring a team, and partnering closely with Customer Service, Purchasing, Sales, and Executive Leadership to drive performance and growth.
What You'll Do
- Lead all daily warehouse operations for the Dallas distribution center, including receiving, shipping, order fulfillment, and inventory management.
- Maintain an organized, clean, safe, and efficient warehouse that supports operational excellence and a positive work environment.
- Develop, document, and continually improve warehouse processes to maximize productivity, accuracy, and on-time, in-full (OTIF) performance.
- Monitor key metrics such as inventory accuracy, productivity, shipping performance, and safety, and take action to drive continuous improvement.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound freight, manage warehouse consumables and supplies, and ensure proper maintenance of forklifts and other powered industrial equipment.
What Success Looks Like
- Within the first 6–12 months, the warehouse operates safely and efficiently with strong OTIF performance and minimal errors in receiving and shipping.
- Inventory accuracy is consistently high through effective cycle counting, reconciliation, consolidation, and slotting practices.
- Clear, repeatable processes and KPIs are in place, visible, and actively used to drive continuous improvement in productivity and service levels.
- The team is engaged, well-trained, and aligned with AFCAT values, with improved morale, reduced turnover, and strong collaboration with other departments.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of warehouse or distribution management experience, including leading teams in a fast-paced distribution environment.
- Hands-on knowledge of inventory management, logistics, warehouse operations, and OSHA safety regulations and best practices.
- Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP software, and Microsoft Office to manage operations and report on KPIs.
- Clear, confident leadership, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to think critically, solve problems, and drive improvements; bilingual English/Spanish, forklift certification, or familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles is a plus.
