Warehouse Operations Manager

As a part of Consolidated Supply Co., a leading Pacific Northwest plumbing, hydronic heating, and water works wholesale distributor, our Warehouse Operations Managers play a key role in leading branch warehouse operations and ensuring our teams have the tools, direction, and support needed to serve our customers safely, efficiently, and accurately. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for managing and developing the warehouse team while overseeing the day-to-day activities that keep branch operations running smoothly and our customers receiving the right products, on time, every time.

Job Description

The Warehouse Operations Manager works side by side with warehouse employees while providing leadership, direction, and accountability for all warehouse and operational activities. This includes overseeing warehouse operating systems and processes, receiving, inventory control, order accuracy, product staging, and the timely and accurate delivery of products.

This role is responsible for creating and maintaining a safe, organized, productive, and positive work environment. The Warehouse Operations Manager has overall responsibility for warehouse safety and fleet safety and ensures employees follow company policies, procedures, and applicable safety and regulatory requirements.

The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for building and developing a strong warehouse team through recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, counseling, and ongoing employee development. This position works closely with branch leadership and other team members to foster a team-oriented environment, address employee relations matters, and ensure the warehouse team consistently delivers an exceptional customer experience.

The Warehouse Operations Manager leads by example, sets clear expectations, holds employees accountable, and identifies opportunities to improve warehouse processes, efficiency, accuracy, and overall operational performance.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of warehouse management experience in the wholesale distribution industry, preferably managing a team of 8 or more employees.
• Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing warehouse employees in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Experience with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training employees.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and counsel employees and effectively address employee performance and relations matters.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory control, order accuracy, product staging, warehouse systems, and delivery processes.
• Experience maintaining compliance with DOT requirements, Hazard Communication standards, OSHA requirements, and company safety programs.
• Strong commitment to fleet safety, workplace safety, and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn and effectively use warehouse operating systems.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and remain calm and effective under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive, energetic, and enthusiastic leadership style with a commitment to leading by example.
• Effective leadership and management skills with the ability to foster a collaborative, team-oriented work environment.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong customer service mindset and a genuine desire to support both internal and external customers.
• Plumbing, hydronic heating, or water works product knowledge is a plus, but not required.
