Warehouse Lead
Position Summary
Academy Air is seeking a highly organized and dependable Warehouse Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations and support our HVAC service and installation teams. This role is responsible for inventory control, material distribution, warehouse organization, fleet readiness, and ensuring technicians have the parts and equipment needed to deliver exceptional service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Manage day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving, stocking, organizing, and distributing inventory.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
- Establish and follow warehouse procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment of stock items.
Inventory Management
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Track inventory movement and maintain accurate records within inventory management systems.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Manage parts, equipment, tools, and materials used by HVAC service and installation teams.
- Assist with vendor returns, warranty claims, and damaged goods processing.
Technician & Fleet Support
- Prepare materials and equipment for daily service and installation schedules.
- Coordinate distribution of parts and supplies to field technicians.
- Assist with maintaining technician truck stock levels.
- Support fleet readiness by monitoring equipment and tool availability.
- Ensure proper storage and maintenance of company assets.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow warehouse safety policies and procedures.
- Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely and responsibly.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and OSHA regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and address potential hazards.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3+ years of warehouse, inventory, or logistics experience.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Experience with inventory management systems and basic computer applications.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred
- Experience in HVAC, plumbing, construction, or home services industries.
- Forklift certification.
- Experience with purchasing, inventory forecasting, and warehouse process improvement.
- Familiarity with ERP, inventory management, or field service software.
