Now hiring for a Warehouse Lead

Location: Charleston, SC

Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour

Schedule: 1st shift | 6:30 AM - 3 PM | Ocassional OT until 4p or on Saturdays as needed

Warehouse Lead coordinates daily floor activities, oversees material handlers, and ensures safe, efficient shipping, receiving, and inventory workflows under management direction.

Job Duties

  • Assigns daily tasks, directs workflow, and manages material handlers to meet production, quality, and customer service goals.
  • Monitors the movement of goods, tracks inventory or cargo status, and enforces daily work schedules and labor estimates.
  • Ensures adherence to company safety rules, proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and prompt reporting of workplace hazards.
  • Trains new and existing team members and assists management in resolving minor operational problems or employee complaints.

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or a related field preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience leading warehouse, distribution, shipping, receiving, or logistics operations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Knowledge of inventory control, warehouse procedures, and workplace safety practices.
  • Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory software, or related business systems.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory or management experience within a warehouse or distribution environment is preferred.
  • Experience managing inventory accuracy, shipping operations, receiving activities, and employee performance is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, OSHA regulations, or supply chain best practices is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate leadership, accountability, professionalism, and a commitment to operational excellence are well positioned for success as a Warehouse Lead.

Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to walk, stand, and move throughout warehouse operations for extended periods.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely work in active warehouse environments with forklifts, conveyors, and material handling equipment.
  • Ability to inspect warehouse operations and respond to operational needs throughout the facility.
  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods, and regularly lift or move up to pounds.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial setting with varying temperatures and moving warehouse equipment
