Job Summary
Purchasing/Procurement Coordinator needed onsite at the Tempe Milk Plant (1115 W Alameda Drive, Tempe, AZ 85282), 5 days/week, 8am-4pm Arizona time (M-F, schedule flexible with hiring manager; overtime as needed).
Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure timely procurement of critical materials
- Monitor inventory of maintenance and operational supplies, maintaining optimal stock levels and purchasing compliance
- Assist maintenance teams in forecasting material and tool needs for preventive maintenance while upholding regulatory/company standards
- Assist in managing facility service contracts (HVAC, janitorial, equipment repairs), ensuring alignment with company policies
- Prepare reports on purchasing activities, costs, and vendor performance for management review and audits
- Support administrative tasks related to facility management, procurement, and compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including maintenance and production staff
Experience
- 1-2 years in an office or manufacturing environment
- Purchasing/procurement experience, especially in manufacturing/production (nice to have)
Key Skills
- Manufacturing, inventory, and warehouse knowledge
- Procurement and purchasing software/inventory management systems (nice to have)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Multitasking and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of facility maintenance and operational needs (advantage)
Eligibility & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional procurement/supply chain education a plus)
