Warehouse Generalist (East Syracuse, NY)

Job Description & Responsibilities: Responsible for varied general warehousing daily tasks including but not limited to activities such as restocking shelves, accepting incoming orders, processing and packing orders, counting inventory and ensuring orders are shipped in a timely manner. Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.

Work Location: East Syracuse, NY
Duration: 3 month contract with option to extend or hire
Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm
Education/Experience Required: High school or equivalent

Job Description & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for varied general warehousing daily tasks including but not limited to activities such as restocking shelves, accepting incoming orders, processing and packing orders, counting inventory and ensuring orders are shipped in a timely manner. Completes shipments by processing and loading orders.
• Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.
• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of experience working in a warehouse
• High School Diploma or HS equivalency
• Candidate should have the ability to work in a warehouse environment, with extending times of standing and walking.
• The candidate should also have the ability to lift and carry 25 pounds.
• Good organizational, communication skills and basic use of computer is also required
• This role does not require the temp to operate a forklift/PIT equipment, other than maybe a pallet jack.
• It would be ideal if they CAN operate that equipment if they were ever to be hired as an FTE.
