Warehouse Clerk
San Leandro, CA
  • LOA Coverage only
  • 1st Shift 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM Tuesday through Saturday.

Note: MUST be legally authorized to work in the United States. 

POSITION SUMMARY
  • We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Clerk to support daily warehouse shipping operations, inventory control, transportation coordination, and administrative activities.
  • This role serves as a key communication link between warehouse operations, drivers, stores, customers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure accurate and timely shipment processing.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in logistics, inventory management, shipping documentation, and customer service within a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Shipping & Distribution
  • Coordinate HTST loadout activities and daily shipping schedules.
  • Check in drivers and coordinate load departures.
  • Manage chill chain documentation and compliance requirements.
  • Communicate shipment information and status updates via email and phone.
  • Process final invoices and loadout mark outs.
  • Support shipping operations for Northern California store deliveries.
Inventory & Logistics
  • Perform inventory adjustments and transaction corrections.
  • Maintain loadout records and shipping documentation.
  • Process credits and inventory-related adjustments.
  • Track customer shipments and assist with issue resolution.
  • Ensure accurate inventory and shipment data is maintained.
  • CHEP Pallet Management
  • Receive, process, and track CHEP pallet transactions.
  • Process CHEP invoices and reconciliation activities.
  • Enter and maintain pallet transactions for outside customers.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate pallet inventory records.
Reporting & Administrative Support
  • Complete shift logs and operational reports.
  • Track and enter machine-hour information.
  • Maintain daily operational records and files.
  • Process M&W data entry and reporting requirements.
  • Prepare accruals and support month-end close activities.
  • Ensure all required paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
Customer & Vendor Support
  • Process shipping documentation, returns, and related paperwork.
  • Coordinate with customers, carriers, and vendors regarding shipments and pallet transactions.
  • Respond to operational inquiries and provide administrative support to the warehouse team.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 1 year of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, transportation, shipping, inventory control, or administrative support.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in food manufacturing, dairy, distribution, or warehouse operations.
  • Experience with inventory management, shipping documentation, invoicing, and accruals.
  • Familiarity with transportation logistics and shipping systems.
  • Experience with CHEP pallet management and reconciliation.
  • Experience working with drivers, carriers, and delivery operations.
  • Strongly prefer bilingual speakers who are able to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the shift.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: 
  • Selected candidates will interview onsite at San Leandro Milk Plant.
  • Candidates must be eligible to be employed for an indefinite duration w/o unlimited work authorization.
