The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including receiving, organizing, shipping, and inventory control of machine tools, parts, and accessories. This role ensures accurate order fulfillment, efficient material handling, and a clean, safe warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
· Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments
· Verify materials against purchase orders and packing slips
· Organize, label, and store inventory in designated locations
· Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for shipment
· Coordinate with logistics providers and internal teams
· Maintain accurate inventory records in ERP/WMS systems
· Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory audits
· Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment (as certified)
· Maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout the warehouse
· Report damaged, missing, or incorrect items promptly
· Support special projects and warehouse improvements as needed
Work Environment & Physical Demands
· Warehouse setting with exposure to machinery and materials
· Standing, walking, bending, and lifting required
· Use of forklifts and material handling equipment
· Occasional overtime during peak periods
Preferred Skills
· Experience with ERP or inventory management systems
· Knowledge of industrial equipment, machine tools, or parts handling
· Shipping/receiving experience with freight carriers
· Basic mechanical aptitude
· High school diploma or equivalent
· 1+ year of warehouse, logistics, or inventory experience preferred
· Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
· Basic computer and data entry skills
· Ability to read shipping documents and work orders
· Strong attention to detail and organization
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks
· Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
· Team-oriented with good communication skills
