Warehouse / Chemical Blending Associate | Houston, TX

Pay: $20+/hr | M-F, 8 AM–5 PM | Temp-to-Hire

Openwork is seeking a dependable, safety-conscious Warehouse / Chemical Blending Associate to support chemical blending and warehouse operations in Houston. This position works with liquid and powdered raw materials used to manufacture commercial and industrial cleaning products.

What You'll Do:
  • Blend liquid and powdered raw materials according to formulas and procedures.
  • Follow batch instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards.
  • Handle and properly store chemical raw materials and finished products.
  • Receive, unload, verify, and load incoming/outgoing freight.
  • Maintain inventory using FIFO practices and report low-stock items.
  • Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
  • Collect and properly identify product samples.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and blending area.
  • Communicate safety, quality, equipment, and inventory concerns to management.
What You Need:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous warehouse, manufacturing, production, or similar experience.
  • Forklift operating experience.
  • Ability to follow written formulas, procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and dependable attendance.
  • Safety-conscious approach to working around chemicals.

Preferred: Chemical blending/batching experience and experience with liquid or powdered raw materials.

Physical & Work Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, and pull throughout the workday.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to wear required PPE.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse/chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
