We are looking to add a new member to our warehouse team at our Long Beach, CA location. This position offers a starting pay rate of $20.00 – $21.00 per hour. The Warehouse Associate will perform routine manual and clerical work involved with receiving, filling orders, stocking, and general warehouse duties
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reports directly to Logistics Manager
- Fast-pace, independent position which involves lifting, lowering, and carrying boxed meat
FUNCTIONS:
- Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise
- Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards
- Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing request, recording amounts items received or distributed.
- Prepare parcels for mailing
- Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Completes reports by entering required information.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Operate company power equipment in accordance with company policy and procedures.
- Operate company truck in accordance with company policy and procedures.
- Physically unloading and loading delivery trucks
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have high school diploma or GED
- Excellent customer service skills
- Flexible work availability preferred
- Ability to work safely and quickly in fast-paced environment
- Neat and professional appearance required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Frequent standing
- Able to work at cold temperatures in a refrigerated environment
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 75 pounds-Frequent maneuvering
- 2-handed lifting, pushing, and handling
