Capstone is hiring Warehouse Unloaders in Detroit to help keep freight moving through a busy distribution operation. If you prefer a physical job where you're active throughout your shift and your productivity can impact your earnings, this is an opportunity worth checking out.

 

You'll work alongside a team to unload incoming freight, organize product, build pallets, and prepare merchandise for the next stage of the operation. No two trailers are exactly the same, so you'll need to stay focused, work safely, and be ready to keep pace.

Earn More With Production Pay

Weekly earning potential: $500–$1,000

Your production-based pay gives you the opportunity to earn based on the work you complete.

$1,000 Sign-On Bonus

Eligible new hires can earn a total of $1,000 during their first 90 days, paid according to the following schedule:

• 30 days: $300
• 60 days: $300
• 90 days: $400
• Total:$1,000

Sign-on bonus is subject to applicable eligibility and program requirements.

What You'll Be Doing

Your shift will focus on getting freight off trailers and into the warehouse safely and efficiently. Responsibilities may include:

• Unloading products and freight from trailers
• Sorting and positioning merchandise as it comes into the facility
• Building, stacking, and securing pallets
• Moving freight throughout the warehouse
• Checking and organizing product as needed
• Repacking or reorganizing freight when necessary
• Maintaining a clean and safe work area
• Following established safety and material-handling procedures
• Supporting other warehouse functions based on the needs of the operation

What We're Looking For

This job is best suited for someone who doesn't mind physical work and enjoys staying busy.

• Able to lift and carry freight weighing approximately 25–75 lbs.
• Comfortable standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repeatedly handling product
• Able to work at a steady pace in a fast-moving warehouse
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
• Safety-minded and willing to follow established procedures
• Comfortable working as part of a team
• Previous warehouse, unloading, or material-handling experience is a plus
• We'll provide training for candidates who are motivated to learn
