Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented
Warehouse Associate / Forklift Operator to support warehouse operations including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, and material handling. This role requires experience operating both
sit-down and stand-up forklifts (order pickers) and working safely in a fast-paced distribution environment.
This is a
full-time temp-to-perm opportunity for candidates who can work independently, maintain accuracy, and safely operate powered industrial equipment.
Responsibilities
- Pull, pick, and prepare orders accurately for shipment
- Receive, unload, verify, and store incoming inventory
- Operate sit-down forklifts, stand-up forklifts (order pickers), pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
- Work on order pickers at heights up to 10 feet
- Pack, stage, and prepare products for shipment
- Inspect products for damage or defects and report discrepancies
- Organize inventory, restock shelves, and assist with inventory counts
- Ensure outgoing shipments are accurate and completed on time
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and warehouse best practices
- Utilize basic computer applications, email, and inventory systems as needed
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of recent sit-down forklift experience
- Minimum of 1 year of recent stand-up forklift/order picker experience
- Stable work history with minimal employment gaps
- Experience operating powered industrial trucks (PIT)
- Basic computer skills, including email, internet navigation, and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. consistently throughout the shift
- Ability to bend, twist, pull, and stand for a full 8-hour shift
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Commitment to workplace safety and accuracy
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating a stand-up reach truck
- Previous warehouse experience in shipping, receiving, inventory management, or distribution
- Experience with cycle counting, stock replenishment, and inventory control
- Ability to quickly learn products, processes, and warehouse systems
