Overview
We are hiring a
Warehouse Associate / Forklift Operator to support daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced distribution environment. This role is responsible for order fulfillment, inventory organization, material handling, and operating both sit-down and stand-up forklifts/order pickers.
This is a physically active position with the opportunity to become a permanent employee for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Pull, pick, and prepare customer orders accurately for shipment
- Put away materials, including loose fittings, boxes, and bagged inventory
- Operate sit-down forklifts and stand-up forklifts/order pickers at heights up to 20 feet
- Move, organize, and stage materials throughout the warehouse
- Receive, verify, stage, and stock incoming inventory
- Read and follow work orders and shipping documentation
- Maintain inventory accuracy and organization
- Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, secure, and safe at all times
- Follow all company safety procedures and warehouse best practices
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of sit-down forklift experience
- Minimum of 1 year of stand-up forklift/order picker experience
- Minimum of 1 year of warehouse experience
- Comfortable working at heights up to 20 feet
- Stable work history with no employment gaps greater than 3 months unless clearly explained
- Ability to read and understand work orders
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, twist, pull, lift, and stand throughout the shift
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in wholesale distribution environments
- Experience working with large-scale retail or building supply distribution operations
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, inventory management, or order fulfillment
- Product knowledge or the ability to quickly learn warehouse products and processes
