    Warehouse Associate | Day Shift
     
    Hillyard, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Associate to join our Operations team in Columbia, MO.
     
    Are you comfortable in a warehouse where you're on your feet, moving throughout the day, picking orders, building pallets, and operating material-handling equipment?
    Do you take pride in building an accurate order and making sure it's ready to ship on time?
     
    If you have hands-on warehouse experience and are looking for a stable, Monday–Friday day shift, Hillyard could be a great fit for you.
     
    We're looking for a dependable team member who understands what it takes to keep a warehouse moving. If you have experience with picking and packing orders, building pallets, shipping and receiving, inventory, or forklift operation, we'd like to hear from you.
     
    What You'll Do
    • Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently.
    • Build, wrap, and stage pallets for shipment.
    • Receive, unload, and put away incoming inventory.
    • Prepare LTL and small parcel shipments for delivery.
    • Safely operate forklifts and other battery-powered material-handling equipment.
    • Move product throughout the warehouse and stage orders in designated shipping areas.
    • Verify products and quantities to help ensure order accuracy.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
    • Work alongside your teammates to meet daily picking and shipping goals.
    • Use basic computer systems and email as part of daily warehouse operations.
    What We're Looking For
     
    We're looking for someone who already understands the basics of working in a warehouse or distribution environment.
    • Previous warehouse, distribution, shipping and receiving, or order fulfillment experience.
    • Experience picking and packing customer orders.
    • Experience building, wrapping, and staging pallets.
    • Forklift or other material-handling equipment experience preferred.
    • Comfortable performing physical warehouse work throughout the shift.
    • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment that is not always climate-controlled and may be warmer or cooler depending on the season.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy.
    • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
    • Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team.
    • Basic computer skills, including email.
    • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
