SUMMARY
Responsible for the efficient handling, movement, and storage of materials within the warehouse, yard, and shop areas. This role supports logistics operations including receiving, processing, storing, picking, packing, and shipping inventory. Operates material handling equipment, performs quality control checks, and maintains a clean and organized work environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, however, other duties may apply)
· Load and unload shipments safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment
· Verify incoming materials against vendor pack lists and report discrepancies
· Stage and label materials for storage or production use
· Move finished goods to designated warehouse areas
· Perform cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies
· Maintain cleanliness and organization in warehouse and yard areas
· Remove scrap materials and manage waste bins
· Provide professional service during customer or vendor interactions
· Ensure compliance with safety and security procedures
QUALIFICATIONS
· 1+ years of forklift experience (sit-down type: Class I, IV, V, or VII)
· Previous warehouse or order picking experience preferred
· Ability to operate material handling equipment safely
· Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, to effectively interact with colleagues, supervisors, and vendors. Ability to read and understand written instructions, as well as interpret diagrams and symbols.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to do addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as ability to calculate measurements, weights, and storage space.

Ability to apply cognitive and practical reasoning skills to effectively manage inventory, process shipments, and maintain order within warehouse environment. Ability to problem-solve, organize, pay attention to detail, and adapt to changing circumstances. Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions. Capable of adapting to changing circumstances and solving inventory issues
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to lift and carry material weighing 50-100 lbs, lift 25-30 lbs repetitively; ability to see well (naturally or with correction); ability to stand/walk for long periods, stoop, kneel/crouch, crawl, and climb up/down ladders.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Physically active, indoor environment, often with exposure to noise, varying temperatures, and potential for dust and fumes.
