Warehouse Associate

Turner Home, a luxury indoor and outdoor living retailer in northeast Florida, has an immediate opening for a Warehouse Associate. The primary responsibilities of the Warehouse Associate position are to:

• Maintain outstanding customer service at all times
• Building and staging high end indoor and outdoor living products including furniture, grills, smokers, fire pits, etc.
• Assist with wrapping, packing, and loading merchandise
• Adhere to safety procedures
• Support the warehouse management team

Major Responsibilities

• Assemble a variety of outdoor and indoor living products, including furniture and grills.
• Execute the daily operational, day-to-day goals and priorities assigned by store management
• Responsive to safety issues
• Building and moving furniture and other products
• Maintaining a clean working area, including the warehouse and the yard.
• Bailing cardboard boxes
• Treating all merchandise with extreme care. Dragging furniture or handling in a manner that could or does result in damage is grounds for termination. Please keep in mind that all merchandise is intended to be purchased by a customer. Customers expect merchandise to be in Brand New condition and all associates handling merchandise need to ensure we maintain Brand New condition.

Minimum Requirements

• Previous experience in a retail or warehouse environment.
• Skills/Knowledge: Building/assembly experience preferred
• A commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction
• Solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills, exceptional organizational ability, high attention to detail, and ability to multi-task
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the business

Physical Requirements

• The minimum physical requirements for this position include:
• Must be able to consistently and continually lift, lower, push, pull furniture in excess of 150 lbs, possibly up stairs
• Ability to stand, lift, bend, twist, etc. for an extended period of time
