Warehouse Associate/Forklift Driver

We are looking for dependable Warehouse Associates with forklift experience to join our team in Akron, OH. If you enjoy working in a busy warehouse environment and have a passion for safety and efficiency, we want to hear from you.

Hours: 7:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday (1-hour lunch)

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00/hour based on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down or stand-up forklifts and other material handling equipment to move pallets, drums, bags, and containers safely within the warehouse
• Load and unload trucks/trailers carefully to prevent damage and spills
• Pick, stage, and prepare customer orders for shipment according to work instructions
• Put away received materials into designated storage locations, maintaining accurate inventory

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous forklift experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
• Forklift certification preferred
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and order paperwork
• Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities
• Familiarity with RF scanners or warehouse management systems is a plus

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience handling chemicals or materials in a warehouse setting
• Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices in material handling

Preferred Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior forklift operation experience

Other Requirements

• Valid forklift certification (preferred)
• Ability to lift, stack, and move heavy materials safely
• This position requires on-site work
