A Warehouse Associate performs multiple duties including receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, cleaning and labeling product, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock.
Are You Looking To:
- Receive and track shipments
- Embark merchandise in delivery trucks using appropriate tools
- Accommodate and carefully handle fragile merchandise
- Track and document exact shipment arrival and departure times
- Tag and label merchandise
- Label and stockpile merchandise according to size, shape, and type
- Box, wrap and pack merchandise in accordance with relevant procedures and standards
- Prepare all orders for shipment
- Verifies the inventory quantity and assists in inventory level maintenance
- Record and manage all impaired or damaged merchandise items
- Enter data in inventory and logistics software programs
Are You Ready To:
- Establish and maintain a positive working relationship within assigned teams and with all applicable departments, customers, and vendors.
- Seek mutual agreement on problems involving coordination.
- Regular and predictable attendance is presumed to be an essential function of all employment.
- Assume all other project work and responsibilities as directed.
What You'll Need:
- Previous experience with UPS, FedEx and/or DHL is helpful
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment is helpful
- Hands-on experience with inventory and logistics software programs
- Great physical stamina and manual dexterity
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Must have a High School diploma or equivalent
- Must have Microsoft Office and general computer skills
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills
- Required to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to work independently and function effectively as part of a team
- Occasional overtime may be required to include elongated shifts or occasional weekends
- May travel to client sites on rare occasions
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 49 pounds
- Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time
- Must be able to go between both local MPS Facilities on occasion
