    Description

    We are looking for a Warehouse Assistant to join our team in Johns Creek, GA. As a Warehouse Assistant with Quikrete, you will be responsible overseeing functions within the warehouse and ensuring the smooth operations of all shipping and receiving activities. Requires handling and managing of all warehouse procedures and adhering to necessary safety procedures.

    About the Role 

    Responsibilities:

    Schedule:1st Shift, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM 

    • Receive inbound shipments and inspect products and materials for damage before signing receiving documentation.
    • Communicate all incoming deliveries to the supervisor and report any damaged materials or equipment defects.
    • Label incoming deliveries and place inventory in designated warehouse locations using a forklift.
    • Generate shipping labels and bills of lading using specialized shipping/freight software.
    • Read and review packing slips, bills of lading, and other shipping documentation for accuracy.
    • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory control.
    • Oversee warehouse stocking locations to ensure racks, shelves, pallets, boxes, and surrounding work areas remain clean and organized.
    • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly shipping and receiving area.
    • Follow all company safety policies and procedures while handling materials and operating equipment.
    • Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned to support efficient daily operations.

    About You

    We Require:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Previous receiving or warehouse experience preferred.
    • Forklift certification preferred; training will be provided for the right candidate.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environment.
    • Experience using specialized shipping/freight software to generate shipping labels and bills of lading preferred.
    • Ability to safely operate a forklift to receive and store inventory.
    • Ability to read and review packing slips, bills of lading, and shipping documentation.
    • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds.
    • Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
