Overseeing departmental functions within a Distribution Center of up to 200+ associates.
JOB SUMMARY:
The DC Area Manager provides direction and leadership to hourly associates in the Distribution Center.
SUPERVISION:
Direct:Direct responsibility of a group of hourly associates ranging from 4-75 associates.

Operations Manager1021606BRRegular, Full-time NoneJOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establishes and monitors the daily production schedules and ensures adherence to priorities
- Monitors and identifies procedures set forth in the distribution center to ensure integrity and accuracy of inventory and that available resources are utilized productively in order to control cost
- Determines and implements appropriate procedures and monitors adherence to, efficiency and cost effectiveness of the processes, and recommends changes, revisions, additions or deletions as necessary
- Monitors activities to ensure proper work flow and controls inventory processes to enhance member experience
- Supports all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates
- Oversees the development, implementation, review and maintenance of the SQF System
- Takes appropriate action to ensure the integrity of the SQF System
- Communicates to relevant personnel all information essential to ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of the SQF System
- Performs supervisory functions, including but not limited to, making employment decisions regarding hiring, promoting, demoting and terminating, conducting performance appraisals and coaching and developing associates
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3-4 years of related experience
- 18 years of age or older
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Strong knowledge of distribution center procedures with analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and proficient computer skills
- Exceptional leadership, administrative, and organizational skills with the ability to drive results
- Ability to physically access all areas of working environment that he/she is responsible for to observe operations/ associates
- Ability to be flexible to work variable shifts, including weekends, and operate on tight deadlines with multiple priorities subject to frequent changes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively to a group of associates
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Associates Degree or above in Operations Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or Transportation
- Working knowledge of Lean Principles
