Warehouse and Logistics Process Engineer

Reports To: Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Position Summary

The Warehouse and Logistics Process Engineer drives the implementation of the Schneider Production System (SPS) and leads continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse operations, material flow, inventory management, transportation, and logistics. This role focuses on improving productivity, reducing costs, optimizing inventory accuracy, enhancing delivery performance, and supporting operational excellence through data-driven decision-making and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Process Improvement

  • Lead Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and SPS initiatives to improve warehouse and logistics performance.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and implement standardized, scalable solutions.
  • Develop KPIs and drive productivity, quality, and cost improvements.

Warehouse & Material Flow
  • Optimize warehouse layouts, storage systems, and material handling processes.
  • Improve receiving, put-away, replenishment, picking, packing, and shipping operations.
  • Support implementation and optimization of WMS and inventory management processes.

Logistics & Transportation
  • Improve inbound and outbound transportation performance while reducing freight costs.
  • Partner with carriers, suppliers, and 3PLs to enhance service levels.
  • Monitor logistics metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.

Data Analytics & Projects
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and business cases to support decision-making.
  • Lead cross-functional projects involving automation, facility improvements, and process optimization.

Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support audits, inventory controls, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of safety and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, supply chain, or process engineering.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Experience with warehouse automation and material handling systems.
  • Background in manufacturing, distribution, or fulfillment operations.
  • Knowledge of TMS, WMS, and inventory optimization tools.

Success Measures
  • Improve warehouse productivity, efficiency, and material flow.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy above 99%.
  • Reduce warehouse, transportation, and handling costs.
  • Support on-time delivery performance of 98%+.
  • Deliver measurable savings through continuous improvement projects.
  • Enhance safety performance, warehouse utilization, and operational scalability.

Travel: Up to 10-20% as required.

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 86,400 - USD 129,600 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
