Wallboard Quality Sampling Technician

Location: Buchanan, NY 10511
Pay: $20.00–$25.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Saturday (occasional Wednesday off based on business needs)

  • Training (First 2 Weeks): 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Regular Shift: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM (hours may vary slightly based on coverage)
    Duration: August 3, 2026 – December 31, 2026
    Employment Type: W-2 Contract

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable Wallboard Quality Sampling Technician to support quality control operations in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for collecting wallboard samples from the production line, performing basic measurements, recording inspection data, and helping ensure products meet quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with manufacturing or warehouse experience who enjoy hands-on work and attention to detail.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collect wallboard samples from the production line at scheduled intervals (approximately every 30–60 minutes).
  • Cut wallboard samples safely using a utility knife while wearing required cut-resistant gloves.
  • Measure samples using a standard tape measure and accurately record results on inspection logs.
  • Support the Quality Supervisor with routine product inspections and quality documentation.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times.
  • Maintain accurate quality records and communicate any product concerns.
  • Assist with maintaining an organized and safe work area.
  • Perform other quality-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience is required.
  • Experience using a standard tape measure is required.
  • Basic computer skills are preferred.
  • Must be able to safely lift and carry materials weighing up to 20 pounds (with assistance as needed).
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
  • Must provide and wear ASTM F2413-compliant steel toe/safety toe boots.
  • Must be comfortable wearing required PPE, including:
    • Hard hat
    • Safety glasses
    • Hearing protection
    • High-visibility vest
    • Cut-resistant gloves
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
