Position Overview
The Walkerville Public Schools Board of Education is seeking an outstanding educational leader
to serve as the district's next Superintendent. The Board welcomes applications from candidates
interested in an interim appointment, part-time employment (minimum three days per
week), or a full-time position. The Board is committed to identifying the individual who best
meets the needs of the district and is open to a flexible employment arrangement that provides
strong, stable leadership for our students, staff, and community.

About Walkerville Public Schools
Walkerville Public Schools is a small, rural public school district located in beautiful Oceana
County, approximately 45 miles northeast of Muskegon, Michigan. The district serves
approximately 220 students in grades Kindergarten through 12 in a single K-12 campus and
employs approximately 18 teachers along with a dedicated support staff.
Our close-knit school community values strong relationships, academic excellence, fiscal
responsibility, and opportunities that prepare students for success beyond graduation. Small

Position Summary
The Board seeks an educational leader who places students at the center of every decision
while demonstrating integrity, transparency, and a collaborative leadership style.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Board of Education, staff, parents, and
community stakeholders to provide visionary leadership, maintain fiscal responsibility,
strengthen instructional programming, and ensure continued organizational excellence.
Retired administrators, current superintendents seeking interim or consulting opportunities,
experienced central office administrators, and individuals transitioning between superintendent
positions are encouraged to apply.
Minimum Qualifications
Preferred candidates will possess:
Michigan School Administrator Certificate (or ability to obtain appropriate certification)
Successful experience in K-12 educational leadership
Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and school improvement
Strong financial management and budgeting experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience working effectively with boards of education
Knowledge of Michigan school law and educational policy
Experience with grant writing, strategic planning, and school improvement initiatives is
preferred.

Compensation
Walkerville Public Schools will offer a regionally competitive salary and benefits package
commensurate with the successful candidate's qualifications, experience, and the nature of the
appointment (interim, part-time, or full-time).
