Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Wafer Fab Equipment Engineer / Technician to support semiconductor manufacturing operations. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing wafer fabrication equipment to ensure maximum equipment uptime and reliable production. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with hands-on experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment who enjoy solving complex technical challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and vacuum-related equipment issues.
- Diagnose equipment failures using root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.
- Perform equipment inspections, calibrations, repairs, and component replacements.
- Support equipment installation, startup, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and service documentation.
- Collaborate with production, process engineering, and maintenance teams to maximize equipment reliability and performance.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and cleanroom procedures while performing maintenance activities.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience maintaining equipment in a semiconductor wafer fabrication or advanced manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with semiconductor process equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and vacuum systems.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance (PM), corrective maintenance (CM), and equipment repairs.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment documentation.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a team.
Preferred Experience
Experience with one or more of the following is a plus:
- Wafer fabrication equipment
- Lithography systems
- Thin film deposition equipment
- Thermal processing equipment
- Wafer cleaning and processing systems
- Metrology or inspection equipment
- Vacuum systems and related equipment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a semiconductor cleanroom environment.
- Ability to work around manufacturing equipment and in confined equipment access areas.
- Comfortable climbing ladders and elevated platforms when required.
- Ability to safely perform equipment maintenance while following established safety procedures.
