Location                            : Aberdeen, WA 98520

Project Duration           : 13 weeks

Pay range                         : $55 –$60 per hour,

Shift                                    : 10-hour dayshift

Job Description: 

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Ultrasound Technician (Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) to perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations and provide high-quality imaging services to support accurate patient diagnosis and treatment.

The ideal candidate must hold an active ARDMS credential, including Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), and possess strong vascular ultrasound knowledge. Candidates must be proficient in performing upper and lower extremity Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) studies and carotid ultrasound examinations.

Key Responsibilities

·         Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to physician orders and established protocols.

·         Conduct general ultrasound procedures while ensuring high-quality diagnostic images.

·         Perform upper and lower extremity venous Doppler studies to evaluate for DVT.

·         Perform carotid artery ultrasound examinations to assess vascular conditions and blood flow.

·         Demonstrate knowledge of vascular anatomy, hemodynamics, and Doppler techniques.

·         Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment while ensuring image quality and patient safety.

·         Review patient histories and explain procedures to patients before examinations.

·         Accurately document examination findings and maintain patient records.

·         Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.

·         Follow infection control standards, safety protocols, and departmental guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• Active ARDMS certification, including Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
• Strong knowledge and experience in vascular ultrasound procedures.
• Ability to independently perform:
  • Upper extremity DVT studies.
  • Lower extremity DVT studies.
  • Carotid artery ultrasound examinations.
• Knowledge of vascular anatomy, Doppler imaging, and ultrasound scanning techniques.
• Previous experience working in a hospital, diagnostic imaging center, or healthcare facility.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient-care skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Required Certifications

·         ARDMS – Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).

·         Vascular ultrasound knowledge and hands-on experience are required.
