Elgin VW near I-90 and Randall Rd is looking to add an experienced technician to our newest dealership, Elgin VW.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect vehicles, diagnose problems, perform quality repairs and maintenance work, and more!
- Inspect and test-drive vehicles, test components and systems, use diagnostic tools and special service equipment to diagnose problems.
- Provide estimate of time and parts needed for repair/maintenance.
- Repair automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, and more.
- Learn new information in training sessions.
- Keep shop neat and account for dealership owned tools.
- Other duties may be assigned according to skill level and certifications.
Requirements:
- Automotive service/repair technician experience is preferred.
- VW / Audi certified is preferred but not required.
- Must have a positive attitude and be a team participant.
- Versatile in skills and tasks performed.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
