    Description

    Elgin VW near I-90 and Randall Rd is looking to add an experienced technician to our newest dealership, Elgin VW.

    Responsibilities:
    • Inspect vehicles, diagnose problems, perform quality repairs and maintenance work, and more!
    • Inspect and test-drive vehicles, test components and systems, use diagnostic tools and special service equipment to diagnose problems.
    • Provide estimate of time and parts needed for repair/maintenance.
    • Repair automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, and more.
    • Learn new information in training sessions.
    • Keep shop neat and account for dealership owned tools.
    • Other duties may be assigned according to skill level and certifications.

    Requirements:
    • Automotive service/repair technician experience is preferred.
    • VW / Audi certified is preferred but not required.
    • Must have a positive attitude and be a team participant.
    • Versatile in skills and tasks performed.
    • Good communication and customer service skills.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
