VP / Vice President Finance – Insurance & Investments
About the Role
The Vice President Finance is a senior finance leadership position responsible for overseeing financial planning, reporting, performance management, controls, and strategic finance activities across the Group's insurance, investment, asset management, and related financial services operations.
The VP Finance will partner closely with the Group CFO, Group Finance Director, business-unit CEOs, investment leadership, risk teams, and other senior stakeholders to drive financial discipline, profitability, capital efficiency, regulatory compliance, and sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management across assigned business units.
Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, management accounts, and financial analysis.
Drive FP&A and commercial finance, providing actionable insights to senior management and business leaders.
Monitor revenue, profitability, expenses, margins, cash flow, and return on capital across insurance and investment businesses.
Support insurance finance, including premium income, claims, reserves, reinsurance, underwriting performance, and profitability analysis.
Oversee financial reporting related to investment and asset management portfolios, including valuation, investment income, expenses, and performance reporting.
Support Group-level capital planning, solvency, liquidity, and balance-sheet management.
Monitor treasury requirements, cash flow, funding, and working-capital efficiency.
Ensure strong financial controls, accounting policies, governance frameworks, and internal-control procedures.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors and support regulatory and statutory reporting requirements.
Provide financial analysis and modelling for M&A, strategic investments, new products, business expansion, and capital allocation.
Identify opportunities for cost optimization, operational efficiency, and sustainable profitability improvement.
Develop financial dashboards, KPIs, management reports, and business-performance analytics.
Lead finance transformation initiatives involving ERP, automation, data analytics, and process improvements.
Support the Group CFO and Finance Director in Board presentations, strategic reviews, investor reporting, and major financial decisions.
Lead, coach, and develop finance managers, controllers, and other finance professionals.

Candidate Profile
12–18+ years of progressive finance experience, preferably within insurance, investment management, asset management, banking, pensions, reinsurance, or broader financial services.
Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role within a large, complex, or multi-entity organization.
Previous experience as VP Finance, Vice President Finance, Finance Director, Deputy CFO, Head of Finance, Financial Controller, Senior Finance Director, or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of financial planning, reporting, accounting, FP&A, treasury, capital management, and financial controls.
Experience with insurance finance and/or investment/asset management finance strongly preferred.
Strong commercial and strategic finance capability, with the ability to translate financial data into business decisions.
Experience working with senior executives, Boards, auditors, regulators, investors, and other external stakeholders.
Strong leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop high-performing finance teams.
Education & Professional Qualifications
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related discipline.
Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA, CFA, or equivalent strongly preferred.
Insurance, investment, financial risk, or actuarial-related qualifications are advantageous.
