POSITION OVERVIEW
The SBA Note Officer is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and maintaining SBA loan documentation to ensure compliance with SBA regulations and bank policies. This role supports the end-to-end loan process, from closing to servicing, ensuring accuracy of loan notes and documentation while minimizing risk and maintaining eligibility for SBA guarantees.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Loan generation, funding and boarding
- Handles charge off, down grade and non-accrual placement
- Reviews and monitors collateral insurances.
- Handles general loan servicing for SBA 7a loans
- Reviews daily loan payment and charge back
- Monitors tickler report and UCC continuation
- Reviews participation payment holdover G/L
- Reviews participation payment submission
- Handles monthly SBA 1502 report including late payment submission
- Complies fully with all Bank policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirements (e.g. Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, Code of Conduct, and etc.). Must complete all required training
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be detail oriented
- Dependable, reliable, and a self-starter with multi-tasking skills.
- Strong knowledge of SBA SOP guidelines (7(a) and/or 504 programs)
- Substantial knowledge of loan operation, servicing, and documentation
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum Experience: 5+ years' Lending and Loan Servicing experience.
