Title: VP, Project Finance Credit Risk Analyst

Office Status: Onsite New York, NY

Base Salary: $140, 000 $168, 000+ Discretionary Bonus

ABOUT THE ROLE

A large international bank with a growing Project Finance portfolio is seeking a Credit Risk professional due to active portfolio expansion. The group covers high-profile asset classes including data centers, renewable energy (wind & solar), LNG facilities, and infrastructure. The bank primarily operates as a participant lender, so candidates who thrive in analysis and portfolio management (rather than deal structuring) will be the best cultural fit.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review and analyze credit proposals submitted by the Front Office, including conducting joint due diligence on prospective transactions
  • Prepare comprehensive credit assessments adjudication opinions, financial projections, and stress tests for submission to the Credit Approval Committee (CAC)
  • Present and defend credit cases before the CAC;ensure all conditions precedent are satisfied prior to closing or funding
  • Review legal documentation with a focus on credit terms including covenants, collateral, amortization schedules, and interest rate provisions
  • Conduct post-disbursement interim and annual reviews in coordination with Relationship Managers;address audit, loan review, and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor portfolio asset quality, including covenant compliance and GCMS entry review
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned sectors and products within the Project Finance space
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to junior credit analysts;review and sign off on team write-ups prior to Senior Credit Officer review
  • Support credit MIS functions including portfolio analysis and periodic reporting
  • Identify, escalate, and act on risk issues;maintain strict adherence to internal controls, policies, and procedures
