Role & Responsibilities
We are seeking a VP of Operations for an aerospace and defense manufacturer which would be a great opportunity for someone with experience in manufacturing leadership and P&L management looking to further their career.
Lead Production, Maintenance, Procurement, and Safety (140 employees), owning on-time delivery, turnaround, and 4-6% annual cost savings.
Own capital planning, union relations and labor negotiations, and readiness for AS9100 and NADCAP audits.
Coach senior leaders and use data analysis to drive process improvement and headcount decisions.
Present financial and operational results to corporate leadership; partner with Finance and Sales.
Essential Qualifications
10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership, overseeing 60+ people, with P&L, procurement or supply chain, and union labor experience.
Regulated, heavily audited industry experience (aerospace ideal), ideally supplier-level; ERP; advanced Excel.
Bachelor's degree (Supply Chain preferred); work-authorized in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Bonus Qualifications
Multi-shift management experience.
Six Sigma/Lean certification; advanced degree.
