Description

Kforce's client, a well-established financial services organization in New York, NY is seeking a Vice President of Tax & Compliance to lead and oversee a broad range of U.S. and international tax planning, research, compliance, and risk management activities. Summary: This role will serve as a senior tax subject matter expert and key advisor to Finance, Legal, HR, Benefits, Compliance, and other corporate functions, while partnering with external tax advisors and regulatory authorities. The VP will also provide leadership and development for the tax team and serve as a backup to senior tax leadership. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead U.S. and international tax compliance, planning, research, and reporting
  • Provide tax guidance related to employee benefits, payroll, retirement plans, and executive compensation
  • Oversee federal, state, and international tax filings, withholding, and informational reporting
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and assess their impact on the organization
  • Manage tax audits, examinations, and relationships with external tax advisors
  • Develop and maintain tax policies, procedures, and enterprise tax risk assessments
  • Partner cross-functionally to identify and mitigate compliance risks
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing tax team
  • Communicate complex tax matters effectively to senior leadership and other stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • CPA required
  • 15+ years of tax experience within a major public accounting firm or corporate tax department
  • Significant experience with complex tax compliance engagements
  • Experience with employee benefits, international taxation, and nonprofit organizations
  • Previous management/team leadership experience
  • Strong payroll and tax compliance knowledge
  • Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
