VP of Purchasing & Estimating

VP of Purchasing & Estimating, Washington, DC

An established residential home builder is seeking a VP of Purchasing & Estimating to lead purchasing strategy, cost management, and trade partner relationships in an executive-level role.

What you'll do:

• Drive purchasing strategy, cost management, and pricing optimization to support profitability and growth
• Build strategic relationships with trade partners and vendors, leading contract negotiations and bidding
• Evaluate plans, specifications, and market trends to champion product innovation
• Partner with executive leadership to align purchasing with company goals
• Lead, mentor, and develop the Purchasing & Estimating team

What you bring:

• 10+ years in an executive-level purchasing role within a homebuilding organization
• Proven success in cost management, purchasing strategy, and operational improvement
• Strong vendor relations, contract negotiation, and strategic sourcing experience
• Technology-savvy with ERP and purchasing systems (NEWSTAR, MarkSystems, Hyphen Solutions)
• Executive presence and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
