    Role Overview

As VP of Product you will own one mission: launch our platform successfully with our flagship customer - guiding a large, established operator through its transition off legacy systems and onto Moon - and, through that launch, build the product into a scalable business ready for the public market, a platform every home improvement business in our first target industry can adopt. These are not separate jobs: the flagship deployment is how the scalable product is proven and built. You will partner closely with the company's engineering and IT leadership, who own delivery within their domains - you are not expected to do everything yourself, but you are accountable for the outcome: a successful launch, a successful customer, and a product ready to scale. Working side-by-side with the VP of Engineering, you will deliver the roadmap on time, like clockwork - with disciplined user testing, standing relationships with the designers, operators, and homeowners we serve, and the judgment to meet customer needs without abandoning strategy.

    About the role

    •   You will join at the stage in which the platform is planned to go live with its flagship customer - depending on final timing, that may be shortly before or shortly after launch. If before, you own that go-live. You will own product outcomes end to end: the go-to-market and customer onboarding plan and its success, the metrics each team lives by, and delivery against the timelines leadership sets.

    What you'll do

    •   Deliver the multi-module roadmap on schedule, in lockstep with the VP of Engineering - on time, like clockwork - and meet leadership's timelines for delivery and goals.

    •   Own the go-to-market and customer onboarding plan and its success: take our flagship customer off its legacy platform and onto Moon, then turn that into the repeatable playbook for every customer that follows.

    •   Run user testing and continuous customer contact as core disciplines; ensure we deliver the product users need while holding the line on strategy.

    •   Manage active iteration of live modules and the concepting of new ones in parallel.

    •   Manage complex cross-team dependencies and plan for efficient delivery of the roadmap - engineering work is never revised because of improper cross-team communication or dependency management; you make that true.

    •   Work with engineering and design to develop and run our model for daily shipping and iteration to production, and the continuous improvement of our software.

    •   Run and follow the rituals of agile with discipline - demo days, weekly planning, retros - as cadence that serves shipping, never ceremony for its own sake.

    •   Work with users constantly and for real: model our users, then go into actual homeowners' homes with partner companies who allow such tests, and use our software where it is meant to be used.

    •   Find and enable the automation and efficiency opportunities inside our customers' operations - the platform wins when its users measurably win.

    •   Own every team's success metrics, critical requirements, and charters - author them, keep them current, enforce them.

    •   Lead and develop the product and design organization: staff PM, module PMs, 3D strategy, and product design.

    Qualifications

    •   10+ years in product, including 4+ years leading product organizations at a senior level.

    •   Has lived the full arc of a high-growth startup - from concepting through scaling - and knows firsthand what each stage demands.

    •   Has shipped a complex, multi-module B2B or vertical SaaS platform - ideally into an incumbent operation with real users on day one.

    •   Has owned go-to-market and customer onboarding for a B2B platform, not just the roadmap.

    •   Metric-native: runs product by outcome pairs and guardrails, not feature lists.

    •   Proven partnership with engineering leadership delivering on committed dates.

    •   Field instinct: spends real time with users and customers, then converts it to strategy.

    •   Obsessed with detail and UI excellence - notices the pixel, the copy, and the friction others ship past.

    •   Deep understanding of business models, processes, and systems - thinks in unit economics and operational flows, not just features.

    •   Thrives in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing precision; AI-forward in how they and their team work.
